‘Soaring Faith Devotional’ - DAY 365‘Mighty Hand of God’ By Pastor JoelGod’s mighty hand shall continue to be powerfully on you as you step over into this new year! God has so much to say about His arms, hands and even fingers. His arm defends you! The prophet Isaiah said “the Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations” Isaiah 52 v 10. In other words, when nations come against you, God rolls up His sleeves and makes bare His holy arms and says: “I will defend My people with My holy arm”.Jesus said: “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you” Luke 11 v 20. God is so prevailing, God is so powerful that He says “I will prevail with My arm and defend nations with My hand, with My finger I will defeat the powers of satan and I will exalt (1 Peter 5 v 6) who I want to promote with my hand”.Habakkuk 3 v 4 says: “..coming out of His hand..there was the hiding of His power”. God’s anointing is hidden in His hands. The hand of God on your life will cause you to out run all wickedness. 1 Kings 18 v 46: “the hand of the Lord was on Elijah and he girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel”. Expect His fresh touch, expect His fresh glorious power that is hidden in His hand to come powerfully upon you this coming year. Exodus 15 v 6 says: “Your right hand, O Lord has become glorious in power”.The hand of God was strong on both Saul and Jonathan, in 2 Samuel, David composed a song and it was played at their funeral, here are part of the lyrics: “…they were swifter than eagles, stronger than lions”.God’s hand has not waxed short! This coming year, anything that is too big in your mind, assign it into God’s hands. Assign your marriage, financial dilemma, ministry, what ever it is assign it into God’s hands. God asked Moses “…Is My hand waxed short?…” (Numbers 11 v 23). As we contend forward into a new year, know that God’s hand hasn’t waxed short! He is still in the miracle business, He still provides every need and desire, He is still reviving and restoring. When Moses had a fresh challenge in his life, God asked him “Do you really think, the same God that brought you out with a high and powerful hand, has waxed short? Now that you are in the wilderness and don’t have some of the things you used to have in bondage, do you really think My hand has waxed short?”.God’s hand can turn a city in one day, He can set a whole family on course spiritually and naturally. God shall protect you from all manner of disease, He shall provide your every need, His hand is not short, His anointing can reach your whole city through you! This new year, God isn’t telling you to figure it out, He is asking you to trust that He already has. Happy New Year to you all!! It is going to be glorious! #Fearless2021 ... See MoreSee Less
‘Soaring Faith Devotional’ - DAY 364‘Prepared Through Prayer + Fasting’ By Pastor JoelNoah didn’t know the exact day when the flood would coming, but he knew it was coming so he got prepared. We have a lot to look forward to, Jesus is coming back, but before He does there is much to be done and like Noah we too must get prepared.Ephesians 3 v 20 (NLT) “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think”.I really encourage you to set aside some time in the new year, and fast and pray. All the things God will do in and through you must be prayed out before it is walked out. Not only that, prayer and fasting are the filling station of power for the believer. If you neglect to fast and pray, you also neglect to walk in full spiritual power available to you.Paul told Timothy, there is a good fight of faith! Why? Because there are giants in every promised land. He told him “Fight the good fight of faith and lay hold of eternal life”. Part of fighting the good fight of faith is fasting and prayer, which allows you to lay hold of all that is yours in Christ. Faith lays hold, faith takes what God already said is yours.Ephesians 1 v 3 “All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ”.We are grateful for the spiritual blessings in heavenly places, but you need them on the earth, in the natural realm. Fasting and prayer are like the debit visa card and pin number in the spirit, that lets you withdraw funds from the spiritual realm into the natural.Fasting not only reminds your flesh it is not in charge, fasting not only positions you to hear and receive what God has said and done, but the combination of prayer and fasting is a supernatural force that provokes God to move on your behalf in a new and living way.The most powerful creature on earth is the new creature in Christ. What happens on earth depends on you! This is why prayer is vital, it isn’t a religious activity, prayer is giving God a legal right to intervene here on earth. When you seek the Lord, your problem becomes a victim of your prayer. What has God spoken to you concerning next year? You need to pray it out, lay it out, act it out and navigate it out. Make the vision plain (lay it out) and start moving in the direction of the vision (act it out). Your initial steps might not be earth shaking but you are taking action and God will honour your faith walk with mighty manifestations. In your pursuit of all that God has promised, don’t make the same mistake Eve made, she esteemed creation greater than the Creator! Reinhard Bonnke was interviewed, they said: “Evangelist, because of your devotion and faithfulness to God, it is amazing to see how God rewarded you with big crowds and buildings, platforms and TV ministry”.Reinhard said “Brother my reward wasn’t the crowds, buildings, stage, my reward was the presence of God”. God is a rewarder, seek Him just for Him and enjoy all He has planned.#Fearless2021 ... See MoreSee Less
‘Soaring Faith Devotional’ - DAY 363‘In Due Time’ By Pastor Joel1 Peter 5 v 6 says: “Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that in due season He will exalt you”. Notice, with God’s mighty hand He exalts us, in due time. In God there is timing, with anything that God makes, there is a time for it, a moment for it. You can’t eat a piece of fruit before its time, you wouldn’t want. God is a God of timing and all throughout the scriptures you will see this phrase: “in the fullness of time”.Why did Jesus come when He came? Because it was time for Him to come. Why did the Holy Spirit come when He came? Because it was time for Him to come.Time tests trust, and here we are at the end of another year, perhaps there were things you were hoping to happen this year that haven’t come to pass yet, my word to you is “Trust Him, in due season it shall all be”.When it comes to salvation, healing and enjoying every redemptive blessing, you need not to wait when the price was paid 2,000 years ago! Simply take it by faith now. God isn’t slow, 2 Peter 3 v 9 (NIV) says “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise”. It isn't anything for Him to break someone out of prison in one night in less then five minutes (Acts 12 v 5 - 17). God created the whole world in six days, He doesn't need more than five minutes to do what you are believing Him to do.Proverbs 3 v 27: “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them’. Verse 28: ‘If you can help your neighbour now, don’t say “Come back tomorrow and then I’ll help you”. God is telling us: if you have the ability to help someone today, don’t tell them to come back tomorrow, help them now! Question, is it in God’s power to help you today? Yes absolutely. Since God isn’t a hypocrite and wouldn’t ask us to do something He doesn’t do, He is not only willing to help you, God has no interest in delaying your help.In this new year, I am believing and declaring sudden turnarounds, sudden change, rapid advancements! #Fearless2021 ... ‘Soaring Faith Devotional’ - DAY 362‘True Followers’ By Pastor JoelMatthew 4 v 19: “Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”.Picture someone in your life that really follows Christ, someone who is in love with Jesus, if you were to describe them how would you? I think some would say “they pray powerfully, they are consistent church attenders, they serve on a team in church…”.But, a true Christ follower is someone who catches men! Jesus said: “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men”. Jesus didn’t say “follow Me and I will make you more disciplined. Follow Me and I will make you richer. Follow Me and I will make you a better husband….”.Jesus told His disciples, if they followed Him they would be made into brilliant fishers of men. The distinguishing mark of a true Christ follower, isn’t how often you attend church (albeit assembling together is vitally important). The distinguishing mark of someone that truly follows Christ is they fish for men, they reach people and bring them to Jesus.Jesus was telling His disciples, just like I brought all those fish to you when I told you to cast your net to the other side, you will bring multitudes of people to Me! Peter became a follower of Jesus, and won souls! Peter and the disciples turned the world upside down. The women at the well in John 4, was so dysfunctional but she became a fisher of men after one encounter with Jesus, and she won her city to the Lord. Jesus delivered a man from demon possession, the man became a Jesus follower and consequently a fisher of men. In Mark 5 v 19, Jesus tells him “…“Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you”. After one encounter with Jesus, the man went back into his community and won them to Christ. Jesus made His followers into fishers of men. John 6 v 44: “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day”.The pressure isn’t on you to be a soul winner, just be a seed sower and the gospel and the Father will do the rest. You can plant, another can water, but it is God who brings the increase. It is God who will draws the heart and wins the soul.Be determined to follow Christ this new year, and let us see the greatest harvest of souls brought into the kingdom! It is our time! #Fearless2021 ... See MoreSee Less
‘Soaring Faith Devotional’ - DAY 361‘Greater Glory, Wealth + Persecution’ By Pastor JoelHaggai 2 v 8: "The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, says the Lord..” Verse 9: “The latter glory of this house [with its successor, to which Jesus came] shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace and prosperity, says the Lord of hosts”. When God shakes the nations, the wealth of the nations will be released to come into the hands of God’s people. The bible declares: “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous” Proverbs 13 v 22. Great wealth will come in to those hands that have been faithful. Faithfulness can not be demonstrated in good times, it is easy to be faithful when everything is going great, but true faithfulness can only be demonstrated in tough times. Not only should you expect great increase and wealth this coming new year, you should position yourself to be a recipient of that. It will take you to an other whole level of faith, because it will come with persecution. With the greater glory and with the manifestations of the Spirit increasing there will be persecution, unlike anything we have seen. There are places on the earth today where it isn’t free to preach the gospel, persecution isn’t just read about, it is their reality. The western church isn’t familiar with persecution, but it is on the increase. The book ‘Heavenly Man’ was written by Brother Yun, a man mightily used by God to preach the gospel in China, despite horrific opposition. He suffered prolonged torture, He was urinated on and imprisoned with no food, all because of his faith. When he escaped China, God continued to use him in other countries to preach the gospel and share his story. After ministering in Canada, sadly some Christians banded together and said he lied and made up all the stories of what happened to him in prison. In response, Bro Yun said: “It was easier being urinated on, beaten and persecuted, then having your fellow Christian brothers turn on you and call you a liar”. Being talked about by his fellow brothers was more hurtful, the pain was greater than torture. This is classic devil tactics, if he can’t get to you, he will try to get to you through someone close to you. When you see someone trying to cause offence in your life, realise it isn’t just them, it is the enemy behind the scenes working through them, to get you caught up into un-forgiveness and strife.I believe the Spirit of God is thickening our skin in this season! We are believing for greater glory next year, but it will not come without persecution and if we can’t handle the persecution and criticism, we will not be able to handle the greater glory. Keep your heart pure before God and men, praise and worship with purify you and keep your eyes on Jesus. Great Wealth and Glory with persecution awaits and we shall be more than able to overcome. #Fearless2021 ... See MoreSee Less
