Take your position IN CHRIST
Evie and I want to thank all of you, our church members, for your faithfulness and partnership! God has, as always, shown Himself so faithful to sustain and to bless us in all areas.
The good news that we have all received is not that ‘God can’, or that ‘God wants to’. No, God has already taken care of the devil, your righteousness and your victory in life. You do not have to do it, all you have to do is sit down!
Being seated at the right hand of God is a picture of your authority as a believer. You are not helpless or hopeless! He gave us life together with Christ and He has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6)
Satan is far below you and you are far above him! You would have to get your binoculars out to see him because he is so far beneath your feet.
But before you can stand against the devil as in Ephesians 6:11, and walk the Christian walk described in Ephesians 4:1-3, you must first learn how to ‘sit together [with Him] in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus’. (Ephesians 2:6). You need to learn how to take your position in Christ!
The apostle Paul prayed that we would get revelation concerning Christ, and what He accomplished for US through His death, burial, resurrection and our position in Him. This is how we receive revelation of who we are in Christ.
The early church gave themselves to this revelation by continuing steadfastly in:
- Apostles Doctrine (Word of God)
- Breaking of Bread
- Prayers (Acts 2:42)
What were they doing when they broke bread daily? They were acknowledging the victory that Jesus purchased for them through His broken body and His shed blood. They were reminding themselves continually of who they were in Christ.
Paul said that for your faith to become effective, you too must acknowledge all that Christ has already done for you (Philemon v6) – and you need to be doing that morning, noon and night!
In Christ all the promises of God are ‘Yes and Amen’ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Anything God has ever promised in Christ is YES. There is no question about it. You do not have to wonder if God might or might not want to bless you, help you, forgive you what you have asked for. He said, ‘it is an absolute yes in Him!’
Agree with God by saying: ‘I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have. I can do what God says I can do.’
The largest gathering of souls into the kingdom of God in the history of mankind is at hand and you and I are right in the middle of it. We pray that God would show you how significant you are to us. We are praying for you!
We would like to invite you to join with us on June 4th-5th, as we welcome Pastors Paul & Karen Brady to minister at FaithLife Centre. We would love for you to be a part of these meetings! For more information, go to our events page. Invite somebody and come along!
May God richly bless you,
Pastor’s Joel & Evangeline Taller
