There Is A Cure ‘The Praise Cure’

Praise-the-Lord-He-Never-Changes

My 7 year daughter once said to me: ‘Daddy I know we are champions in Christ and everything….but some times we just need a day off’ As cute as her words were, the reality is we can not afford to have a day off from speaking His praises!

Ps 34 v 1: ‘I will praise the Lord at ALL times, I will constantly speak His praises’.

I pray that whatever season you are in, your faith is found praising God! If you’re reading this, you’re alive, which means God has kept you, sustained you, provided for you, protected you……we all have something to be thankful for!

1 Peter 1 v 6 says: ‘… greatly rejoice though now for a little while if need be you have been grieved by various challenges, trials..’ Verse 7: ‘the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise….’. Verse 8: ‘….yet believing you REJOICE with JOY inexpressible and full of glory’. Verse 9: ‘receiving the end of your faith…’

Heartfelt praise and thanksgiving is the highest expression of genuine faith. If you are to move from believing to receiving you have got to get happy about what you know God has promised. Praise will always put you on the VICTORY side even when defeat looks inevitable!

Psalm 69 v 30: ‘I will PRAISE the name of God with a song, and will MAGNIFY Him with thanksgiving’. Praise actually magnifies the Lord, it doesn’t make God bigger. But praise magnifies the effect of His power in our lives and circumstances!

For example a magnifying glass will intensify the rays of the sun! The glass doesn’t make the sun bigger or greater, but it does increase its power! As children we would exterminate insects! I believe through our praise we can see the devil’s plans sizzle under the magnified presence of the Lord!

There is a cure to whatever you have found yourself in ‘The Praise Cure’.

Start today giving God thanks, He is forever faithful!
